Notice of Change to Vaccine Benefit Coverage*

The federal government has stopped purchasing COVID-19 vaccine for distribution. What does this mean for you?

• COVID-19 is no longer available "free" to the general public

• Medicare part B and Illinois Medicaid benefits cover COVID-19 vaccine 

• All persons with commercial/private insurance who wish to receive COVID-19 vaccine at the Morgan County Health Department are required to contact your insurance provider prior to seeking service 

  • Upon arrival for services, you will be asked to provide the following information: 

    1. Does your insurance plan cover the vaccines(s) requested?  

    2. Is the Morgan County Health Department in network for your benefit plan?  

  • Failure to provide this information will require payment in full at the time of service or result in the cancellation of your appointment.
